Ceramic Fiber Board
MillboardThermal Ceramics Kaowool Millboard products are
processed from a slurry consisting of Kaowool ceramic fibers, fillers and binders. The fiber raw material is Kaolin, a naturally occurring high-purity alumina-silica fireclay. Kaowool Millboard products are strong, thin, durable ceramic fiber based boards having a variety of high-temperature applications. Although these products were formulated and designed to replace asbestos millboard, their potential use extends into more conventional refractory fiber applications. Their use should be considered whenever there is a need for a thin, durable board with excellent insulating characteristics |

RCF BoardsOur RCF Board products made from RCF wool (Cera® and Kaowool®) used to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions, reduce energy waste and improve the efficiency of furnaces and process equipment.
Our boards are refined ceramic fibres, pure fillers and binders in conjunction with a unique thermal bonding manufacturing process. This creates special insulation boards with high temperature stability, excellent strength, hardness and exceptional machinability for precise dimensional control. These boards are typically used in the Iron and steel industry for applications such as expansion joints, heat shields and in the non ferrous industry as tundish and launder covers in the casting of copper and copper based alloys. However, they are excellent in other industries such as ceramics, glass and petrochemical as lining / insulation material, reducing energy and therefore, emissions. |

SuperWool BoardsOur patented Superwool® Fibre technology goes into our boards which are rigid panels made from a mixture of Superwool® 607® and 607® HT Fibres, refractory fillers and organic and inorganic binders. Our Superwool® Fibre boards can be cut with a hacksaw blade allowing precise shapes to be made and can be used in direct contact with flame. It features very low thermal conductivity, has a low heat storage capacity and has good thermal shock resistance allowing it to be used in applications where large variations in temperature occur.
This product also does not react with Alumina based bricks when applied in the range of the typical use temperature. Superwool® Fibre boards are available in a number of different grades: Grades Available: Board 607® 75 Suitable for all applications up to 900°C. H Board 607® Recommended when a high strength material is required. Board 607® 85 Suitable for all applications up to 1000°C. Board 607® LTI Recommended for all applications where thin, rigid insulating panels are required. Board 607® INO Recommended for all applications where minimal smoke or fume emission is desirable. Superwool® HT Fibre (formerly Superwool® 607® HT) Board Standard formula based on Superwool 607 HT fibre. Superwool® HT Fibre C Board Formula specially designed for application up to 1000°C requiring cycling resistance and high mechanical performances. |
